Due to a change in the MacOS networking stack since 10.13, we have found that our multicast clock traffic can be interfered with on some Mac OS systems, resulting in DVS periodically losing sync with the leader clock.
We have not observed any impact on the audio. A workaround for this issue is to use an adapter such as USB or Thunderbolt to Ethernet instead of the built-in network port. https://support.getdante.com/hc/en-gb/articles/5484806190367-DVS-USB-Ethernet-Adaptor-Choice-for-macOS-Systems
Running DVS at a lower sample rate such as 48KHz with fewer channels has also been found to resolve the issue.
Note. This FAQ relates to an unsupported operating system. Please ensure that you are running the latest DVS version from Software Downloads on a supported operating system, specified on the download page.
