Do I need a separate licence for each computer?
Yes. Each Dante Via licence activates one computer only, so every computer you want to run Dante Via on needs its own licence ID. The same applies to Dante Virtual Soundcard (DVS).
Can I move Dante Via to another computer?
Yes. There are two ways to do it, depending on whether you can still use the original computer.
Option 1: Deactivate on the original computer
Use this if you still have access to the computer Dante Via is currently activated on.
- Open the Activation panel:
- Windows: click the settings icon and select Activation.
- macOS: choose Activation from the Dante Via main menu.
- Click Deactivate.
- Install and activate Dante Via on the new computer.
Option 2: Recover the licence from your account
Use this if you no longer have access to the original computer, for example because it’s broken, lost or been reset.
- Log in to your account at getdante.com.
- Go to My Account (top right), then select the Products & Subscriptions tab.
- Scroll down to the Dante Via section.
- Click … next to the licence and choose Recover.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, then activate Dante Via on the new computer.
